Radhaballavi: An Easy Breakfast Recipe
Radhaballavi is an awesome puri recipe that can be made with the utmost simplicity in almost all homes. This is also an ideal breakfast recipe as it is low in calories and at the same time is high in nutritional value. Radhaballavi is actually a Bengali recipe that has become popular worldwide. This puri recipe has gained immense popularity among all food lovers due to its amazing blend of flavours.

You
just
need
some
maida
(all
purpose
flour),
gram
pulses
and
yoghurt
as
the
main
ingredients
for
this
breakfast
recipe.
Here
is
a
simple
puri
recipe
for
radhaballavi.

Serves: 4-6
Preparation

Ingredients
- Maida (All Purpose Flour)- 3-4 cups
- Ghee- 3-4tbsp
- Yoghurt- 3-4tbsp
- Cumin Seeds- 1tsp
- Gram Pulses (Kolaai Daal) - 2 cups (boiled)
- Hing- ¼ tsp
- Vegetable Oil- 7-8tbsp
- Salt- To taste
Procedure
- Take the maida (all purpose flour) in a medium sized bowl and mix it well with the yoghurt, ghee, some salt and a bit of water if required. Form a dough and keep it aside.
- Take the gram pulses in a blender and mash them well.
- Now take a deep bottomed frying pan over the gas oven and add the 1-2tbsp vegetable oil to it. Add the cumin seeds and let them pop on a low flame. Now add the gram pulses and stir well for a minute or two on a low flame.
- Add the hing (asfoetida) and again stir the whole mixture for 2-3 minutes on a low flame. Turn off the gas oven now and keep it aside.

Make
small
balls
out
of
the
dough
and
make
a
small
hole
in
the
middle
of
them
using
your
fingers.
Now take another deep frying pan and add the remaining vegetable oil to it.
Deep fry all the flat maida rolls in them. Repeat this process for all the maida rolls and then turn off the gas oven. - Your radhaballavi is now ready to be served.
Serve the radhaballavi with a gravy preparation.
