The
flattened
rice
is
cooked
with
a
variety
of
ingredients
to
make
it
taste
delicious.

we

the
variety

poha
which
is
prepared
with
potatoes.
It
is
known
as
the
aloo
poha
or
batata
poha.
This

recipe

and

All you need
- Poha (flattened rice)- 2 cups
- Aloo (potatoes)- 2 (chopped)
- Onion- 1 (chopped)
- Ginger paste- 1/2 tsp
- Green chilli paste- 1tsp
- Sugar- 1tsp
- Salt- as per taste
- Lemon juice- 1tbsp
- Mustard seeds- 1tsp
- Hing (asafoetida)- a pinch
- Coriander leaves- 2tbsp (chopped)
- Oil- 1tbsp
Procedure
1.
Wash
the
poha
with
water
thoroughly
and
drain
the
excess
water.
2.
Heat
oil
in
a
pan
and
add
mustard
seeds
and
hing
to
it.
3.
As
the
seeds
start
to
splutter,
add
the
onions
and
fry
for
3-4
minutes
on
medium
flame.
4.
Then
add
the
ginger
and
green
chilli
paste.
Cook
for
a
few
minutes.
5.
Now
add
in
the
potatoes
and
fry
for
4-5
minutes
on
medium
flame.
6.
Add
the
washed
poha,
salt,
lemon
juice
and
sugar.
Mix
well.
7.
Cook
for
another
3-4
minutes
till
the
potatoes
are
cooked
well.
8.
Sprinkle
the
coriander
leaves
and
switch
off
the
flame.
Aloo poha is ready to be served. A perfect breakfast recipe for those who want to eat healthy.
