Cabbage Rava Upma Recipe For Pregnant Women

Cabbage Rava Upma For Pregnant Women

Ingredients

  • Rava - 2 cups
  • Mustard Seeds - ½ tbsp
  • Jeera Seeds - ½ tbsp
  • Urad Dal - ½ tbsp
  • Chana Dal - ½ tbsp
  • Red dry chillies - 3 nos
  • Curry leaves - 8 nos
  • Cabbage - ½ cup (chopped)
  • Garlic and ginger paste- 1tbsp
  • Cashewnuts - 20 gms (chopped)
  • Oil - 2tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Procedure

  1. You first need to heat the oil in a pan. When the oil is hot, add in the mustard seeds and the cum in seeds.
  2. When the seeds begin to crackle, add in the curry leaves and saute till the leaves turn whitish in colour.
  3. Now add in the urad dal, dry red chillies and the chana dal and saute the ingredients together till it turns into a golden brown.
  4. Add the ginger and garlic paste to the above ingredients and fry.
  5. Now add in the chopped cabbage and saute for 7 minutes till the cabbage is covered with the masala.
  6. Drop in the nuts and add a little water to the mixture. Mix well and bring the mixture to boil.
  7. To this, add in the rava and salt to taste.
  8. Give the mixture a gentle stir and let it cook on a low flame for about 10 minutes or so.
  9. Switch the flame off when the ingredients comes to the center of the utensil. This is an indication that the upma is now ready to eat.

Your cabbage upma is now ready to eat. You can garnish the cabbage upma with chopped coriander or basil leaves.
