Bread n Butter Pudding : Breakfast For The Elderly
This is one of the best breakfast recipes for the elderly. This soft and delicious bread and butter pudding is regarded as an old best recipe for the elderly who have dentures. Bread and butter pudding made for breakfast is non time consuming and for those working couples who are looking after their aged parents, this is the apt breakfast recipe. This morning, set the dining table with a fresh bouquet of sunflowers and this yummy bread and butter pudding for your aged parents to enjoy.
Filled with nutrients and proteins and less carbohydrates, this bread and butter pudding will simply be enjoyed by your aged folks. Lets take a look as to how you can now make this easy breakfast recipe.

Bread slices soaked with milk, raisins, dried fruits and baked is the only thing you need to follow in making this bread and butter pudding recipe.
Serves - 4
Preparation time - 30 minutes
Cooking Time - 15 minutes
Ingredients
- Bread - 10 slices
- Milk- 300 ml
- Butter - 70 gms (melted)
- Brown Sugar - 80 gms
- Spice powder - 2 tbsp
- Eggs - 2 (beaten)
- Dried fruits - 180 gms (blackcurrant, orange peels and raisins)
- Nutmeg - 1 tbsp (grated)
Procedure
- You first need to break the slices of bread and place it in a shallow bowl.
- Now pour the milk over the broken slices of bread and stir to make a paste.
- Keep this above mixture aside for half an hour for marination.
- In a half a litre baking dish, grease it with a little butter.
- Now beat the melted butter, the brown sugar, the eggs and the spices together until the mixture becomes smooth.
- Now add in the soaked bread and milk to the above mixture.
- Gently add in the dried fruits to the above mixture and stir.
- Add in the grated nutmeg to the mixture and give it one last stir for a second.
- Now place it into the baking oven and time it for 15 minutes until it turns a golden brown in colour.
Your bread and butter pudding is now ready to eat. You can eat this yummy pudding cold or hot, it tastes better both ways.
