Procedure
1. For seasoning: Heat a thick-bottomed vessel. Put curry leaves in it. When dry, put some oil and fry the curry leaves to prevent spluttering of the oil.
2. Add mustard seeds, red chillies, jeera seeds, chana/urad dal, ginger and green chillies and fry for a minute. Add onions and saute them till they turn translucent. Keep this seasoning aside.
3. Wash and boil rice in a cooker. Give two whistles. Make sure it is slightly overcooked. Add salt and allow it to cool. Add enough milk and check the consistency. Do not make it run thin.

4. Beat curds till smooth. Pour the curds over the rice and mix.
5. Add the seasoning to the rice. Mix well. Garnish with pomegranate and coriander leaves. Sprinkle jeera powder. Your yummy curd rice is ready to be served.
