Suji Halwa Recipes For Ashtami
There are many Indian sweet dishes that can be prepared instantly. If you are of the idea that halwa is very difficult to make and is time consuming too, then you are wrong. There are many simple halwa recipes that you can prepare for breakfast or serve as an evening snack. Suji ka halwa, besan ka halwa are few easy to make Indian sweet dishes that you can prepare within few minutes.
In many households, suji ka halwa is prepared with dry fruits and saffron and served for breakfast. Suji ka halwa can be too sweet for your taste so, many people team it up with roasted chickpeas or papad and bhujia. Check out the suji ka halwa recipe, a filling Indian sweet dish for breakfast.
Suji ka halwa with dry fruits, breakfast recipe:

Ingredients
- Suji- 1 cup
- Sugar- 1 cup
- Raisins- 7-8
- Cashew nuts- 10 (halved)
- Almonds- 6-7 (sliced)
- Pistachios- 3-4 (sliced)
- Cardamom powder- a pinch
- Water- 1 cup
- Ghee- ½ cup
Procedure
- Heat 1tsp ghee in a frying pan.
- Roast suji in a pan till it turns golden brown. Mix constantly on a low flame to prevent the suji from burning.
- When the suji becomes golden brown and looks roasted, add water and mix well. Stir continuously without stopping till the water is absorbed. This prevents the formation of lumps.
- Now addd remaining ghee in the pan and mix well.
- When the water is soaked up and a layer of ghee is formed on the top surface, add sugar and mix well.
- Stir till the sugar is completely dissolved. Put the pan off flame.
Suji ka halwa is ready. Garnish this sweet dish with dry fruits and cardamom powder. Serve it hot.
