Badam Puri Recipe To Celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi
On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, you need to celebrate it with a whole lot of sweets. With modak being the specialty of Ganesh Chaturthi, you can also try to make the yummy soft and crispy sweet delicacy, badam puri.
The badam puri which is beautifully layered with a great taste of badam, milk, cardamom, ghee and sugar syrup can be indulged at any time of the day. Lord Ganesha who loves sweets will truly be happy if you prepare this soft and crispy sweet delicacy on his birthday.
Badam Puri is not a time consuming recipe to try out. If you take a look at this sweet delicacy Badam puri , your mouth will water.
Here is the badam puri recipe to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi:

Ingredients
- Maida - 2-1/2 cup
- Badam - 1/2 cup (paste)
- Sugar - 3-1/2 cup
- Rice Flour - 1-1/4 cup
- Milk - 100 ml
- Saffron - 1 gm
- Cardamom - 1 tsp
- Ghee - 25 ml
- Oil - 1 cup
- Water - 1 cup
Procedure
- Start by kneading the dough. Add rice flour, maida, milk and the almond paste.
- Now heat a little water in a pan and add to the boiling water saffron, sugar and cardamom. With the help of a spoon, stir the contents to make sugar syrup.
- When it is done, make small balls from the dough and roll each ball into a small round puri.
- Applying a little ghee on the puri, stack one on top of the other with three puries in each stack.
- When that is done, roll and cut each stack into small pieces. Repeat the process again. Roll the pieces into a round shape and deep fry until they turn into a golden brown.
- Now drop in all the puris in the sugar syrup. Allow it to soak in the syrup for at least 10 minutes. Remove later and place it on a flat plate, ready to serve.
Ganesha's favourite sweet is now ready to eat. Enjoy this yummy delicacy when cold.
