Tiramisu - Italian Dessert Recipe
This New Year 2011 cannot be complete without the tasty "Tiramisu" recipe, the most popular Italian cake recipe. This delicious Italian dessert is made of biscuits, coffee and egg yolk with the flavor of liquor and cocoa. Tiramisu - Italian Dessert Recipe
Ingredients:
1.1 sponge cake (plain)
2.1/2 cheese (cream)
3.5 tsp sugar
4.1/4 cup wine (preferably port wine)
5.1 cup cream
For
coffee
soaking
syrup:
1.1 tsp instant coffee powder
2.1 tbsp sugar
3.4 tbsp warm water
For
the
garnish
1.1 tsp cocoa powder
2.3 tsp icing
Method:
1.Mix a half cup of cheese, sugar and cream in a mixing bowl and whip together until they form stiff peaks.
2.Cool down the coffee syrup and mix with port wine.
3.Dip the sponge cake in the coffee mixture and arrange them horizontally in a tray.
4.Spread half of the cheese mixture vertically on top of the sponge cake.
5.Spread the second half of the cheese mixture on top and garnish with a layer of icing and some cocoa powder over the dessert.
6.Cover the cake and leave it in the refrigerator for at least 10 hours to set before cutting. Tasty tiramisu recipe ready to serve.
