Tasty Semolina Daal Rolls For Rakhi

Semolina Daal Rolls
Rakhi is the festival of sweets but you will need some spicy items too with sweets. For the special occasion, we have a special recipe called the Semolina Daal Rolls. Semolina or rava make your rolls crispy and crunchy all the more. Take a look at how to go about with the tasty semolina daal roll recipe. The rolls can be relished hot with pudina chutney or even with sweet chutneys.

Semolina Daal Rolls -

Ingredients:

  1. 200gms Rava/Semolina
  2. 500gms Milk
  3. 2tbsp Butter
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Oil for deep-frying

For the Filling :

  1. 1 Cup Moong daal/Split Green Gram
  2. 2 Onions
  3. 2 Green Chilies
  4. ' tsp Amchur Powder/Dry Mango Powder
  5. Salt to taste
  6. 1tbsp Oil
  7. A pinch of Asafoetida
  8. 1 Cup Bread Crumbs
  9. 2tbsp Corn flour

How To Make Semolina Daal Rolls?
1. Semolina Daal Rolls Heat Butter in a non-stick pan, add Semolina. Fry until it changes color and then add the Milk to it. Keep stirring until Semolina gets cooked and the mixture thickens. Add Salt and mix well. When the mixture starts leaving the sides of the pan, remove to a greased plate and let it cool.

2. Soak Moong daal for 2 hours before cooking. Cook the daal until tender. Heat Oil and add Onions, Daal, Salt, Chilies, Amchur and Asafoetida and stir for a minute or two. Remove from heat and let it cool. Mix Corn flour with water and keep aside.

3. Take a little semolina mixture in the palm, flatten it and fill the daal mixture in it. Make into rolls. Dip the rolls in the Corn flour mixture and roll them in breadcrumbs and deep fry till golden brown.
