Ingredient For Tangy Prawn Balls:
1. Medium Sized prawns 8-10 (their tails removed but heads intact)
2. Besan or Gram Flour 4 tablespoons
3. Parsley leaves (seperated from stalks and chopped)
4. Onion 1 (finely chopped)
5. Red Chilli powder 1 teaspoon
6. Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon
7. Cumin (Jeera) powder 1 teaspoon
8. Green chillies 4 (chopped finely)
9. Corn flour 2 tablespoons
10. Vinegar 1 teaspoon
11. Oil 4 tablespoons
12. Salt to taste

Procedure For Tangy Prawn Balls:

  • Make three pieces out of each prawn including the head. The head part of the prawns makes the prawn balls crunchy.
  • Sprinkle salt, vinegar and turmeric powder on the prawn pieces and leave it for the time being.
  • For the batter, mix besan and corn flour in a mixing bowl.
  • Add the salt, red chilli powder, green chillies, cumin powder, chopped onion and chopped parsley to the mixture and flatten it with half a cup of water.
  • Stir it to get a glue like consistency.
  • Pour in the pieces of prawns and mix well.
  • Now make balls out this batter
  • Heat oil in a deep pan because the prawn balls have to be deep fried for being crisp.
  • Deep fry the prawn balls and strain them on a tissue paper.
