Paneer Cutlet: Monsoon Special Recipe
Hot cutlets, with a cup of tea and gossips with a bunch of friends! Nothing can beat this fun. With rains pouring down, it is the perfect time for frying up some crispy and delicious cutlets.
Paneer is a favourite among vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. So, here is a spicy and a mouthwatering paneer cutlet recipe. You can relish it all by itself or you can also use it as a patty inside a burger. This recipe can be prepared in many ways. The cutlets can be either deep-fried, shallow fried or even baked if you are a calorie conscious person. Here we are shallow frying the cutlets. The coating of the breadcrumbs give it a crispy, crunchy taste which is simply hard to resist.

Ingredients
- Paneer- 250 gms (crumbled)
- Bread slices- 2
- Ginger-garlic paste- 1tsp
- Onion- 1 (chopped)
- Green chillies- 2 (chopped)
- Turmeric powder- ½ tsp
- Chaat masala- 1tsp
- Pepper powder- ½ tsp
- Mint leaves- 2tbsp (chopped)
- Breadcrumbs- 1 cup (for coating)
- All purpose flour- 2tbsp
- Salt- as per taste
- Oil- 3tbsp
- Water- 1 cup
Procedure
- Dip the bread slices in water for about a minute and then squeeze out the excess water from them.
- Mix together paneer, wet bread slices, ginger-garlic paste, onion, green chillies, turmeric powder, chaat masala, pepper powder, salt, mint leaves together in a bowl.
- Divide the mixture into cutlet sized balls. Flatten the mixture with your palms in the shape of a cutlet.
- Mix all purpose flour with about four tablespoon of water.
- Dip the cutlets in this batter.
- Spread the breadcrumbs on a plate and roll the cutlets on it till all the sides are coated completely.
- Heat oil in a pan. Fry the cutlets for about 3-4 minutes on a medium flame on each side.
- Once done, switch off the flame and serve.
Serve the delicious and crispy paneer cutlets with mint chutney or ketchup and enjoy them hot with tea or coffee.
