Hariali Samosa Recipe
Samosas are always in demand. Though, they are not a very healthy and nutritious but they are one of the most popular Indian evening snacks. Samosa is one snack that is liked by all. Be it your parents, husband, friends or children, the smell of this crisp and tasty snack can make anyone hungry. Samosa is an Indian snack that is deep fried and the key ingredient of traditional samosa is plain flour and potato.
Depending on the stuffing there are many kinds of samosas like panner samosa, aloo samosa, green peas samosa and even sweet samosa! Today, we bring you a crisp and tasty evening snack- Hariali Samosa also known as patti samosa. This samosa has a filling of green peas, french beans and beaten rice (poha) which makes it a better option than traditional aloo samosa. Hariali samosa tastes yummy and is very easy to make. You can team up Hariali samosa with hot tea or coffee. And can also serve it with chutney or sauce.

Ingredients
- All-purpose flour- 1cup
- Green peas- ½ cup (boiled and crushed)
- French beans- ½ cup (finely chopped and boiled)
- Beaten rice- 2tbsp
- Green chillies- 2 (finely chopped)
- Lemon juice- 2tsp
- Sugar- 1tsp
- Carom seeds (ajwain)- ½ tsp
- Oil- 4tbsp (for deep frying)
- Salt- to taste
Procedure
- Mix all-purpose flour with little warm water to knead it to make a soft dough. And keep aside the dough for about 15 minutes.
- In a pan, heat 1tsp of oil and then add carom seeds. Once the carom seeds starts crackling add French beans and crushed green peas. Saute it for 2-3 minutes.
- Add lemon juice, sugar and beaten rice (poha) and saute it for another 3-4 minutes. Your filling is now ready.
- In a separate bowl, mix a little bit of flour in water and make a thick paste. Keep aside the all-purpose flour paste.
- Now, take the dough and make 8-10 small thin chappatis.
- Fold each thin chappatis in the shape of a cone and then fill it with the green peas filling.
- Seal the ends of the cone with flour paste.
- Now, heat the remaining oil in a deep bottomed pan.
