Fruit Crepes: Breakfast For Pregnant Women

Fruit crepes have enough carbs and butter to give you loads of energy early in the morning. Besides, fruit crepes are very easy to make. You can actually have them on the go as well.

Here we have used various berries to prepare fruit crepes for pregnant women.

Fruit Crepes

Serves: 1 (who is eating for 2)
Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients For Crepe

  • Flour - 1 cup
  • Butter- 4 tbsp
  • Powdered sugar- 1/2 cup
  • Eggs- 2 (beaten)
  • Cinnamon powder- 1/2 tsp
  • Vanilla essence- few drops
  • Salt- 1 pinch

Ingredients For Filling

  • Fresh cream- 2 cups
  • Honey- 1tbsp
  • Berry jam- 2tbsp
  • Strawberries- 6 (cut into halves)
  • Raspberries- 6 (cut into halves
  • Cherries- 6
  • Maple syrup- 2tbsp

Procedure

  1. Take flour in a mixing bowl. Add beaten eggs, sugar, cinnamon powder and 3tbsp cold butter. Add 1/2 a cup of water.
  2. Now add few drops of vanilla essence and salt. Whisk the mixture together to form a thick batter.
  3. Add a dollop of butter in a pan that is being heated on the gas.
  4. When the butter melts, scoop some batter into the pan. Spread it out and flip the crepe when it hardens.
  5. In this way, make 4 to 5 crepes.
  6. Then take fresh cream in a bowl. Add honey and maple syrup to it. Beat the mixture thoroughly.
  7. Add the chopped berries to the beaten cream.
  8. Now put a layer of berry jam on the crepes and then add 2tbsp of the cream filling in it.
  9. Fold up the fruit crepes and serve.

You can keep the fruit crepes in the refrigerator to have them chilled.
