Cashew Nut Pakora: Fried Monsoon Snack

Monsoon is soon going to hit the country. In this season, you feel like munching fried food such as pakora and spicy dishes such as street chaat. And one should pay attention on maintaining hygiene especially during this season. Instead of eating in a street stall, make some delicious pakoras at home with various ingredients. If you want to try some variety, try cashew nut pakoras. Check out the easy recipe to make this fried monsoon snack.

Ingredients
- 1 cup cashew nuts
- 1 cup besan (chickpea flour/bengal gram flour)
- 1tsp red chilli powder
- 2tsp ajwain
- salt
- a pinch of soda
- oil for frying
- 1tbsp ghee
- ½ cup water
Directions to make cashew nut pakora:
- Heat ghee in a pan. Roast the cashew nuts until they turn a little brown. Keep aside.
- In a bowl, mix besan, salt, red chilli powder, ajwain and soda. Add water and stir constantly to avoid getting lumps. Make a semi-thick batter for pakoras.
- Now add the roasted cashews in the batter and mix well.
- Heat oil in a frying pan. Make small pakoras with the batter and deep fry. Strain in a paper towel.
Cashew nut pakora is ready to eat. Serve it hot with tomato ketchup or coriander chutney.
