Its Christmas holidays and your kids will naturally demand for something special to munch in the evening or after play. Preparing potato cutlets is little difficult as you will require a lot of them. Making bread sandwich for snack may be very boring so here is simple Indian recipe that requires bread slices and potatoes to make tasty cutlets. Crispy Bread Cutlet Recipe

Ingredients:

  1. 1 loaf bread (separate the brown portion from slice)
  2. 2 big potatoes (boiled, peeled)
  3. 1 onion (finely chopped)
  4. 1 cup green peas (boiled)
  5. 3 green chillies (chopped)
  6. 1 tsp chilli powder
  7. 1 tsp garam masala powder
  8. ' tsp turmeric powder
  9. Chopped coriander and mint
  10. 1 cup curds
  11. 2-3 tsps rice flour
  12. 1 glass of water
  13. A plate containing soji rava
  14. Oil for frying
  15. ' tsp mustard seeds
  16. ' tsp gram dal and urad dal
  17. Salt to taste

Making Bread Cutlet:

1. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, dals, turmeric, green chillies, chopped onions and saute well.
2. Mashes the boiled potatoes and add to the mixture.
3. Soak the bread slices in curd and squeeze out the excess water. Add the soaked bread to the pan with the masalas, salt, boiled green peas, mint leaves and mix well.
3. Make flat discs out of mixture and arrange on a plate.
4. Prepare a rice flour batter adding some water. Dip the cutlets in the batter and roll on the soji.
5. Shallow fry the bread cutlets until golden brown and serve the simple indian recipe hot with sauce.
