Spicy Aloo Chat Recipe – Tangy Potato Chat

The creamy texture of the boiled potatoes, tangy twist of the chutneys and crunchiness of the nuts and boondi, give a variety to this interesting Aloo Chat Recipe.
Ingredients for Aloo Chat Recipe:
- Large potatoes – 6- 8 (boiled & peeled)
- Roasted groundnut – 1 small cup (crushed coarsely)
- Green chutney – 1 bowl (grind together coriander leaves, mint leaves, green chillies, salt, a pinch of sugar or jaggery into a fine paste to make the green chutney)
- Sweet tamarind chutney – 1 bowl (Soak tamarind and jagerry, seive it and then boil this mixture (with a dash of pepper till it reaches a thick consistency)
- Fresh coriander, finely chopped
- Boondi or puffed rice
- Sev
Method to prepare Aloo chat:
- Cut the boiled potatoes into ¼ inch thick rounds. Arrange them on plate.
- Apply a layer of tamarind chutney.
- Top it with green chutney.
- Put the boondi or puffed rice on this.
- Finally sprinkle the roasted groundnuts, sev and coriander leaves.
- Serve immediately. You can serve this tangy aloo chat with a glass of Khatta Meetha Green Mango juice.
