Chinese Sausage – Tasty Recipe
If you are looking out for some traditional Chinese recipe, then here it is. Tasty Chinese sausage recipe is a great meal to start with on a weekend. All thanks to the Chinese for sharing such a tasty delicacy with the world. Try making the pork recipe – the Chinese Sausage this weekend and treat your family with the taste and the aroma of sausages.
Chinese Sausage Recipe -
Ingredients:
1. 2 1/2 pounds pork butt
2. 3/4 pound pork fatback
3. 2 1/2 tsp brown sugar
4. Salt to taste
5. 2 tsp soya sauce
6. 1 tsp sweet sherry (wine made of white grapes)
7. 3 tsp Scotch whisky
8. 1 tsp Chinese seasoning (Chinese five-spice powder)
9. 2 tsp water
Method:
1. Preheat the oven to 200° F.
2. To start with, grind the pork and fat in a meat grinder and mix it with all the above ingredients in a bowl except casings.
3. Stuff the pork mixture into the hog casing and tie the casing into links. Prick the links all over with the help of a fork and refrigerate overnight.
4. Place the refrigerated sausages on a rack in a foil and see to it that they do not touch each other.
5. Bake for 5 hours and let the sausages in the oven itself to cool.
6. Drain all the excess fat in the pan. Tasty Chinese Sausages ready to serve.
7. You can also store the sausages in the refrigerator for one to two weeks, or can even freeze them for two to three months.
