Home Brew Beer Recipe – Christmas Ale Recipe

Dark Ale – Home Brew Beer Recipe For Christmas
Ingredients:
1.1.92kg pale malt extract
2.100g crystal malt or caramel malt (to convert starch to sugar)
3.40g chocolate malt (for the dark color)
4.50g Cara red grain
5.50g Maris Otter grains (will help in producing low nitrogen levels)
6.12 g Progress hops (for a fruity aroma)
7.7 g Styrian Golding hops (for an old traditional aroma)
8.This homemade brew makes up a batch of 2 gallons
Method:
1.Start
extracting
or
steeping
all
malt
grains
for
25
mins
in
water
at
62C,
then
boil
the
grains
and
add
progress
and
some
styrian
hops.
Boil
for
50
minutes.
2.After Boiling the mixture add some more of Styrian hops and again heat it for 20 mins.
3.Add the mixture to the fermenting vessel and set aside to cool, dilute the mixture upto 2 gallons.
4.Once the mixture is cool add the ale yeast and stir well. The home brew beer recipe will be ready after 3 weeks.
