Prawn Pulao: A Sunday Delight
In a mood to make something special for a Sunday treat. Here is an easy pulao recipe. Prawn is one of the most popular sea foods. And a prawn pulao treat is ideal for all the non vegetarians. This is one of the most awesome rice recipes that can be easily and very conveniently made without much difficulty. A prawn pulao is sure to be liked by almost all taste buds alike.

Pulao recipes are popular all over the globe for its subtle taste and flavours. The fine aroma of the spices and the prawn used in this pulao recipe makes it highly rated among all rice lovers. Here is an easy recipe for making a prawn pulao.

Serves: 4-6
Preparation Time: 20-25 minutes
Cooking Time: 20-25 minutes
Ingredients
- Prawns- 300-350 grams (de-veined)
- Turmeric Powder- 1tbsp
- Cloves- 2
- Cardamom- 2-3
- Cinnamon-2
- Bay Leaves- 1-2
- Onions- 1-1 ½ (finely chopped)
- Green Chillies- 2-3 (finely chopped)
- Ginger Garlic Paste- 1tbsp
- Basmati Rice- 500grams
- Garam Masala- ½tbsp
- Ghee- ½ cup
- Salt- To taste
Procedure
- Marinate the prawns for 10-15 minutes with the turmeric powder and some salt.
- Take a frying pan over the gas oven and add 3-4tbsp of ghee to it. Add the prawns and fry it for 3-4 minutes over a medium flame. Keep it aside.
- Now take another frying pan and add the remaining ghee to it. Let it heat over a medium flame and then add the cloves, cardamom, cinnamon and bay leaves to it.
- Stir for 1-2 minutes over a low flame till you get a fine smell of all the spices.
- Add the chopped onions and chillies to it. Saute for 2-3 minutes over a low flame till the onions turn golden brown. Then add the ginger garlic paste and again saute the entire mixture for 1-2 minutes over a low flame.
- Pour the rice into the same pan and just add double water in it. Let it boil over a medium flame till it absorbs all the water. You may now add the prawns to it.
- Stir it well for 3-4 minutes over a low flame.
Serve the prawn pulao hot with a gravy preparation of your choice.
