Prawn Kismur Recipe
There is nothing like prawn kismur on a rainy day. Kismur is a Goan delicacy. It is actually a dry prawn salad which is specially prepared during the monsoons. The reason for this is quite interesting. Since the Konkan belt receives heavy lashing rains for about three to four months and fisher folks cannot go out to fish, people around the area use their stock of dried fish to various preparations during the rainy days.
Kismur can be made with any kind of dried fish such as the shrimps, mackerel, shark, surmai etc. It is a simple and quick recipe. You can serve prawn kismur as salad or a side dish. The taste of this delicious seafood recipe will take your mind on a flight to the windy seashores of Goa.
