Ingredients:
- Keema - 500 gms
- Cinnamon - 1 piece
- Cloves - 2
- Black Cardamom - 2
- Ginger - 2 tsp (grated)
- Green Cardamom - 2
- Green Chilies - 2 (sliced)
- Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
- Coriander Powder - 2 tsp
- Onion - 1 (chopped)
- Tomatoes - 2 large (puree)
- Green Peas - 1/2 cup
- Garam Masala - 1/2 tsp
- Cumin Powder - 1 tsp
- Garlic - 2 tsp (minced)
- Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Bay Leaf - 1
- Water - 1/2 cup
- Salt to taste
- Cilantro for garnish (finely chopped)
Procedure
1.
In
a
non-stick
pan
on
a
medium
flame,
add
oil
and
wait
for
it
to
turn
hot.
2.
When
the
oil
is
hot,
add
to
it
the
bay
leaf,
cinnamon
stick,
black
cardamom,
green
cardamom
and
cloves.
Stir
the
ingredients
for
a
period
of
30
seconds.
3.
Add
in
the
chopped
onions
and
a
little
salt.
Now
fry
the
onions
in
the
pan.
Cover
and
cook
for
about
15
minutes
while
stirring
frequently.
4.
Add
in
the
ginger
and
garlic.
Mix
the
ingredients
well
for
10
minutes
or
so
till
you
see
the
onions
turning
a
little
pinkish
in
colour.
5.
To
the
pan,
add
in
the
sliced
green
chilies
and
chopped
tomatoes.
Saute
the
ingredients
and
let
it
cook
for
about
5
minutes
with
a
lid.
6.
Now
remove
the
lid
and
continue
to
cook
until
the
oil
starts
to
separate
from
the
mixture.
7.
Add
in
the
chilli
powder,
turmeric
powder,
coriander
powder
and
cumin
powder.
Mix
well
and
switch
the
flame
off.
8.
Now
add
to
the
mixture
the
peas,
garam
masala
and
then
the
keema.
Mix
the
keema
well
with
the
rest
of
the
ingredients
in
the
pan.
9.
Add
to
the
keema
the
water
and
salt.
Mix
well
and
then
close
the
pan
with
a
lid.
10.
Let
the
keema
cook
for
about
20
minutes
and
then
garnish
with
the
chopped
cilantro.
