Spicy Tangy Grilled Chicken Recipe

Nothing can be more refreshing than preparing and relishing grilled chicken on a Sunday. Sunday is the only day in the week when you have all the time in the world to prepare something special for yourself and your family. So, today we have a special spicy and tangy grilled chicken recipe for you.

The chicken is first marinated with a mix of exotic spices and then grilled. The smoky taste of the chicken with the flavour of the spices makes this dish an absolute delight for your nerves. So, take a look at this spicy, tangy grilled chicken recipe and give it a try.

Spicy Tangy Grilled Chicken Recipe

Serves: 3
Preparation time: 20 minutes
Cooking time: 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • Chicken breasts/wings/drumsticks- 250g
  • Red chilli powder- ½ tsp
  • Paprika powder- ½ tsp
  • Turmeric powder- ½ tsp
  • Pepper Powder- ¾ tsp
  • Dhaniya powder- 1tsp
  • Ginger+Garlic- 50g
  • Aaam choor- 1tsp
  • Lemon juice- 2 tsp
  • Onion- 2(chopped fine)
  • Salt- as required
  • Oil- 1 ½ tbsp

Method

  1. Clean the chicken pieces, make small gashes on it.
  2. Marinate the chicken with red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt. Keep it for 10 minutes.
  3. Grill it partially, occasionally basting it with oil.
  4. Now grind together ginger, garlic,dhaniya powder,Pepper powder,aamchoor &paprika powder in lemon juice into a coarse paste.
  5. Now marinate the partially grilled chicken with this paste and keep it for another 15 minutes.
  6. Now grill it at high for nearly 10 minutes, frequently turning the sides and basting it with oil.
  7. Chop the onions, marinate it with 1/2 tsp red chilli powder, turmeric,oil and salt. Grill it at high, stirring occasionally for 3 or 4 minutes.
  8. Now serve the grilled chicken on this bed of grilled onion along with tomato sauce or pudina chutney! Have it as a starter or with chappathi.
