Procedure

  1. Mix the minced chicken, salt, turmeric powder, besan, coriander powder, cumin powder and cornflour together. Knead the mixture like a dough with your hands.
  2. Divide the dough into 4 equal parts. To coat one egg you will need one keema ball.
  3. Dampen your hands with a little water so that the keema doesn't stick to your hand. Place the keema ball in your palms and flatten it with your fingers into a thin disc.
  4. Now place the boiled egg in the centre and fold it from the sides. Make sure that the egg is completely covered with the keema.
  5. Heat oil in a deep frying pan and fry these koftas one by one.
  6. Cook on low flame for about 5 minutes till all the sides turn golden brown.
  7. Transfer the koftas into a plate and keep this aside.
  8. Now heat oil in a pan and add bay leaf, cinnamon, cardamoms and fry for about a minute.
  9. Add the onions and fry on medium flame for 3-4 minutes. Once they turn golden brown add ginger-garlic paste.
  10. Fry for about 2 minutes and then add all the spices one by one.
  11. Cook for another 2 minutes and then add the mint leaves, sugar, yogurt, tomato puree and almond paste. Saute for 5 minutes.
  12. Now add the kasuri methi and salt.
  13. Add water and mix well. Then add the koftas and mix very gently.
  14. Cover the pan and cook for about 10-15 minutes.
