Ingredients for fried chicken:

  • Chicken – 1 kilogram
  • Onion (large) – Chopped
  • Soy Sauce – 1 tsp
  • Fresh ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
  • Chilli powder – 2 tsp (or more if you want it spicier)
  • Turmeric powder - ' tsp
  • Lemon juice (freshly squeezed) – 1 tsp
  • Salt (As per taste)
  • Oil (for shallow frying)

How to prepare fried chicken?

  • Cut the chicken into medium sized pieces.
  • Mix together all the dry spices, ginger garlic paste, soy sauce and salt.
  • Mix the chicken with this and cook in a pressure cooker with sufficient water.
  • Cook uncovered for some more time. (So that the juices are well absorbed)
  • Now, add sufficient oil in a pan and fry the onions till they turn golden brown,
  • Once the onion is done, add the chicken pieces and cook carefully turning over frequently so that it turns into deep brown colour on all sides.
  • Sprinkle lemon juice and serve hot.
