Crispy Fried Chicken Legs: Ramzan Spcl
Crispy fried chicken is something that can instantly cheer you up. Call it fattening or unhealthy, the fact remains that nothing is as delicious as some deep fried snacks. And when you are fasting all day during Ramzan, you deserve a treat after all! That is why crispy fried chicken legs are an excellent Ramzan recipe.
This Ramzan recipe gives you just the right kick of energy and taste. And the best part is yet to come. It is insanely easy to prepare crispy fried chicken legs. Even if you are tired after a busy day at work, you can have crispy fried chicken legs ready in 30 minutes to break your Ramzan fast. We all have to go to work even when we are fasting. That is why, this modern Ramzan recipe is perfect for busy professionals.

Ingredients
- Chicken legs- 8
- Ginger garlic paste- 2tbsp
- Green chillies- 4 (minced)
- Pepper powder- 2tsp
- Lemon juice- 2tbsp
- All purpose flour- 1 cup
- Egg whites- 2 (beaten)
- Coriander leaves- 1 stalk (chopped)
- Mint leaves- 6 (chopped)
- Warm water- 1/2 cup
- Bread crumbs- 1 cup
- Oil- 3 cups
- Salt- as per taste
Procedure
- Make tiny but deep slits on the chicken legs with a knife. Then rub salt on the chicken pieces.
- Marinate the chicken pieces with lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, half the minced chillies and pepper powder.
- Leave the marinated chicken aside for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile work on the batter. Add 2 egg whites to flour. Add warm water, green chillies and rest of the pepper powder to the mixture.
- Also add a little salt to make the batter tasty and soft. Now beat the mixture for a minute thoroughly.
- Add the chopped coriander and mint leaves to add some flavour to the batter.
- Heat oil in a deep bottomed pan and wait for it to start steaming.
- Them lower the flame, dip the chicken legs in batter, roll them in bread crumbs and drop into the pan for frying.
- Cover and fry the chicken legs for 10 minutes. Stir and turn them after every few minutes.
When your crispy chicken legs are ready, serve them with ketchup or chutney.
