BMW India Bridal Fashion Week 2015: Sonam Kapoor Turns Bride For Abu Jani Sandeep

The much awaited BMW India Bridal Fashion Week 2015 (IBFW) has commenced showcasing a lovely collection by ace designer, Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla.

Walking the ramp as showstopper for the first show, actress Sonam Kapoor looked so very pretty. Gorgeously dressed in a bridal attire she stunned the audience in a bright collection by the renowned designer.

This collection displayed on the ramp features an elaborate theatrical set which recreates the Varanasi ghats. Each of the collections are designed to showcase the rich legacy of silks, brocades, gold and silver thread work and carpet weaving.

If you take a closer look at each of the designs shown by Abu Jani in this bridal collection at IBFW 2015, you will see the traditional fabrics and motiffs have found a new expression through the dazzle and glamour of Swarovski crystals.

Showstopper Sonam Kapoor

Princesses do exist and we have proof!!! Sonam Kapoor was the showstopper for designer Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla at BMW IBFW 2015. She looked like a galaxy of stars in a heavy golden bridal gown.

Dazzling White

For the brides who are opting for a white saree, well, this is the perfect one to steal your groom's attention.

Gorgeous Anarkalis

Creamy whites and milky white shades were seen in abundance on the ramp of day 1 at BMW IBFW 2015. Though the collection was excellent, Abu had a lot of repeated outfits which was disheartening!

Net Bodices

The net bodice on this anarkali gown was quite a killer look. We love the simple drapes featured with the ensemble.

For A Princess

There were a ton of princess gowns seen on the ramp in the bridal collection. The deep neckline featuring a bosom look and the crystals on the gown were mesmerising.

Backless Numbers

Heavy prints of Varnasi on this ghagra was intriguing along with the flare of the skirt. The mirror work on the choli too was stunning.

Beaded & Floral

The floral prints on this ensemble was mind-blowing. The striking flare on the suit too was impeccable and caught our attention. Paired up with a printed colourful beaded jacket, it completed the look.

Pretty Pinks

This is one of the most beautiful ghagras we have seen tonight at B,W IBFW 2015 showcased by designer, Abu Jani.

Sunshine Shades

Most of the bridal wear on the ramp of day 1 featured bright morning colours. This sunshine yellow hue completed with a crystal waist belt, red shimmering choli and motiff skirt.

Choose The Right Choli

Simply outstanding... This red choli with detailed silver shimmering was min blowing to look at.

Colourful Lehenga

This colourful lehenga is brightly finished off with gold detailing. The lace choker necklace simply adds to its beauty.

Bosom Dress

The double strapped bosom dress is fantastic. The crop top pattern shows off a little tummy too.

Sparkling Leggings

Sparkling lace leggings and a slit gown paired to perfection. The model's dress is covered with zari work.

Ruffle It Up

Usually we see ruffles at the border of a gown, but this piece featured high ruffles starting at the bodice onwards in an assymetrical pattern.

Beaded & Colourful

This designer salwar suit is so gorgeous that we are left speechless. It truly is an Indian style.

Shimmering Silver Brides

This shimmering glass beaded gown on the model makes the look sparkle. What's more interesting is the layered colours of gold and silver at the border.
