IBFW 2015: JJ Valaya's Bolshoi Bazaar
Ace fashion designer JJ Valaya presented his all new bridal collection named "The BOLSHOI BAZAAR" on the ramp of India International Bridal Week's seventh edition.
The designer collaborated with Valliyan by Nitya to add some more charm to his bridal wear with the awesome designer jewellery. Lots of creative headgears were seen in JJ Valaya's collection at the ramp of IIJW 2015.
JJ Valaya always has his eyes set on a particular strong theme to bring out each of his collections. 'The Bolshoi Bazaar' features colours which are amusing, bright and majestic and one of a kind since it is mixed with hues one wouldn't even think of.
The designer's collection is an inspiration from various regions and disciplines of Russia including the jewels of its Czars, the ikat embroidery of the nomadic tribes of Russia, Moscow's Onion domes, traditional kerchiefs, and the country's pre-rebellion architecture.
The ramp was filled with heavy veils in sheer and net. Golden piping on borders of each ensemble, shimmering fabrics, patiala pants, asymmetrical kurtas, head gears in metallic colours and much more. The colection also showcased some intricate designs for men.
Beautiful Russian motifs have been widely used in Bolshoi Bazaar silhouettes. The designer artistically blended them with contemporary Indian weaves, crepes, velvet and Georgette using techniques like digital printing, applique, and of course, his signature embroideries.
The colour story dabbles in antique, metallic, and neutral tones, in symphony with quintessential Indian brights! Casting Russia on an Indian mould, Valaya crafts a modern yet intricately ethnic collection for the bride who likes to embrace statement looks.
A beautiful and colourful lineup of East-European Tsarinas concluded the designer's show for the day.
