WIFW 2014 Day 3: Shunya By Urvashi Kaur
Urvashi Kaur showcased a vibrant autumn winter collection at the Day 3 of Wills India Fashion Week 2014 ramp. Shunya by Urvashi Kaur had ruched silks and wearable cuts, tunics, Boho-Indian pieces, sarees and flared silhouettes.
With an affinity for indigenous, hand-woven textiles, the usage of silk weaves like Maheshwaris, Chanderi, Tassar, Tissue, Matka, Kota and, Khadi cotton, resonate the free reign of thought of the human mind. sheer, translucent voiles and linens was extensively used in the Shunya autumn-winter 14-15 collection of Urvashi Kaur. Bright colours like pink, saffron, orange, red and yellow were seen on the ramp.

Shibori, tie & dye technique evoke the Bandhej tradition, and block prints inspired from mosaic styled geometric patterns are all infused with a prominent positioning of the Hamza, Hand of Fatima. The entire collection incorporates hand tucking, subtle ruching and dramatic pleats, alongside separates with touches of volume and movement, in drapes that set a dramatic rhythm. Angrakha inspired tunics, cowelled shalwars, pleated and flared pants, along with layered, reversible sheer jackets and crop tops are the mainstay of the collection.
Urvashi Kaur also had something for the stylish men. Crotch pants, scarves, printed dhotis and jackets were seen on the ramp. Urvashi Kaur played wonderfully with silhouettes and textures. A refreshing blend of fabrics and prints.

Printed Pants
Printed dhoti like crotch pants were seen on the ramp which looked ethnic.

Maxi
The maxi had dyed colours on the bottom which looked nice.

Men Dhoti Pants
Printed and colourful dhoti pants for men were worn with short kurta jackets and accessorised with weaves scarf.

Ruffled Three-Quarter Pants
Sheer plain white ruffled three-quarter pants looked chic with printed jackets and tops.

Layered Kurti
Printed layered kurta featured a touch of sheer which looked classy. Loved the striped sheer pants that were worn with the high low hem kurtis.

Sheer
Some outfits were completely sheer which looked sexy on the ramp. We even saw printed skirts.

Palm Print
Some outfits had palm prints on the tulle in various colours like red or blue.

Cape
Sheer cape jackets looked flowy on the ramp.
