Sonam Kapoor Has A Mixed Day 2 At Cannes

When Sonam Kapoor entered the Cannes opening ceremony at premiere of The Great Gatsby, the whole world went 'wow'. Sonam Kapoor's Day one look in a gorgeous Anamika Khanna lace saree is quite unforgettable. Compared to that, her Cannes day 2 look was a complete fashion disaster. We were already put off by the fashion sense of Vidya Balan and Amitabh Bachchan at Cannes 2013; looks like Sonam just joined the party.

Sonam Kapoor Cannes day 2 look comprised of a bloated floral frock. Sonam Kapoor wore Dolce and Gabbana at day 2 at the Cannes 2013 red carpet. Sonam walked into the premiere of the film Jeune & Jolie wearing a gigantic princess gown. Sonam Kapoor's princess gown would have looked cute if it would not have huge floral prints on it. The ugly pink roses on her silk gown made it look juvenile at best and cheap at the worst.

This strapless princess gown was worn with matching lilac footwear from Alta Moda. The lovely necklace was from Sonam's mother Sunita Kapoor's collection. The only thing spoiling this otherwise feminine Barbie doll look were the terrible floral prints. These prints would have looked better on curtains or a couch! Sonam had her hair side swept in a stylish way and her makeup was impeccable as a mark of saving grace.

Sonam Kapoor princess ballroom gown was a custom-made Dolce Gabbana. Minus the ugly floral prints, we quite like the gown.

Sonam Kapoor had her hair side wept over her shoulder to compliment her strapless ballroom gown.

Sonam's footwear was a floral lilac pair that was from the fashion label of Alto Moda.

Sonam Kapoor wore a Shehla Khan black lace lehenga with Chopard diamond jewels for the evening Chopard party on day 2 of Cannes.

Last year, Sonam made a similar mistake by choosing to wear a scary black lace gown from Alexander Mcqueen.

Sonam has also tried her hand at bloated princess gowns before. This is her red velvet Dolce and Gabbana dress from Cannes 2012.

Sonam At 2011 Chpard Party

Sonam's sense of fashion has come a long way since 2011. She was seen wearing this white toga dress at the Cannes Chopard party in 2011.

Having started the day badly, Sonam Kapoor's sense of fashion came back to her by evening. She attended the Chopard party at Cannes 2013 wearing an exquisite black lace lehenga from Shehla Khan. The choli was off-shoulder and Sonam carried her black lace duppatta from her neck. Her breathtaking diamond jewellery was naturally sponsored by Chopard. Her cream coloured clutch was from the fashion label Ferragamo. Sonam's hair was styled into an ornate bun for this evening event.

Although Sonam Kapoor started Cannes day 2 badly, she ended it on a very high note. Lets hope we get to see some better fashion sense from Sonam in the remaining days of Cannes 2013.
