You need some amount of guts to wear lace gowns. This is because it is very easy to go wrong with a lace gown. You can either end up in the best dressed category with a stunning gown or be shunned away to the worst dressed category for being a fashion disaster. But all said and done, lace is a beautiful material to wear and we must try to make the best of it.

We cannot do commentary on fashion without going back to celebrities. They are the trend setters for the rest of the public. Even in the case of lace gowns, there are many examples to choose from. This has been the season of lace. We have seen almost all A-list celebrities from both Hollywood and Bollywood sporting lace gowns at least once. While some can be called best dressed in lace, others have not quite worn lace with grace.

Some of the worst dressed in lace were Sonam Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha and Jennifer Lopez. Black lace is the most popular kind of lace but you can experiment beautifully with other colours as well.
