IIJW 2013 Day 2: Saboo Fine Jewel Designs

Day 2 of IIJW 2013 started with Jewel Trendz. Rituparna Sengupta was the showstopper for this collection. The second collection on Day 2 of IIJW 2013 was Saboo Fine Jewels. This collection lacked known faces but what it lacked in matter of celebrity touch, it made up in terms of glamour. We got a fine mixed bag of jewellery designs from Saboo Fine Jewels.

It was difficult to identify a definite theme in the jewellery collection on Day 2 IIJW 2013. Most of the jewellery in the Saboo Fine Jewels collection is jarao. Some of the jewellery designs were most certainly bridal. These elaborate Rani necklaces and jaro chokers constituted a majority of this collection.

But we also saw glimpses of contemporary jewellery in this collection. These was a white gold rope choker that deserves a special mention. Day 2 of IIJW 2013 was like a mixed bag so far. The blend of different jewellery designs is just amazing.

Here are some snippets from the Saboo collection that was showcased on Day 2 IIJW 2013.

Thick White Gold Rope Choker

This thick white gold choker literally looks like there is a noose around the model's neck. The thick matching white gold bracelet completes the look.

Ruby Earrings n Slim Necklace

The necklace is so slim and fine that it is almost invisible. You have to look hard to notice it. The disc-like ruby earrings however are very prominent. The head jewellery matches the earrings.

Golden Handcuff Bracelet

Handcuff bracelets are really in this season. But if you don't want a really thick one, you can try wearing this thick handcuff bracelet.

Rani Necklace

This jarao choker-cum-necklace is certainly bridal. There are 2 layers to this neck-piece. The first layer is a collar necklace. It then comes down in another layer as a Rani necklace.

Floral Ruby Necklace

This necklace is also a bridal piece that covers the entire bosom. The pattern in floral and the stones used in the necklace are rubies.

Golden Handcuffs

As we said before, handcuff bracelets are really in fashion. Day 2 of IIJW 2013 furthered this fashion trend. These golden handcuffs can look very smart even with Western outfits.

Jarao Bonanza

The entire Saboo Fine jewels collection was a studded with jarao wedding jewellery. Here are some of the examples.

Pink Glinted Necklace

This golden necklace is long and has a pink gemstone in its pendent. The necklace is also studded with pink glints.

Showstopper

This famous fashion model was the showstopper for the Saboo Fine Jewels. She is wearing a red gemstone studded long necklace.

Hooped Chain

This slim chain has been doubled over and worn. The pendant is a dainty hoop ideal for wearing with formals.

Golden Handcuffs

Another example of the trendy golden handcuffs being in fashion. The edges of the handcuff bracelet are slightly upturned.

Smooth Silver Bangles

These bangles are perfectly round and smoothed over. You can wear them with any Western outfit or even with a plain salwar kameez.

Broad Bangles

Unlike the previous example, these bangles are neither sleek nor smooth. They have have intricate craftsmanship on them and they are very huge. Perfect for ornate sarees.

Different Types Of Thick Bangles

The 2 models here are displaying 4 different types of bangles. They are all thick, perforated and have delicate work. But the design of each one is unique.
