Retro fashion is basically the style that was prevalent in the 1970s. This style has elements of hippie or Bohemian fashion. Bollywood celebrities' retro clothes have always clicked. When Bollywood stars wears retro clothes, they work. Be it in movies or in real life, many celebrities re-create the trend of retro fashion.
For example, the latest trend of maxi dresses was originally conceived in the 70s. Bollywood's retro clothes mostly comprises of printed maxi dresses these days. We have spotted several celebrities wearing floral motifs that were very reminiscent in the 70's era. In fact, some simple accessories like ribbon hair bands also completes the retro look.
Another style innovation in Bollywood's retro clothes is the palazzo pants. Many celebrities wear loose palazzo pants that hark back to the 70's when bell-bottom pants was in. Also, the 'Bobby' print or large polka dots is a part of retro fashion.

When we saw Kareena wear these palazzo pants for the first time, we were not very sure what they were. But these loose grey pants looked very retro when teamed up with the printed white scarf.

This sleeveless maxi dress worn by Preity Zinta gave a breezy beach party look. The zagged patterns on the dress have a play of many different colours.
