Best & Worst At Blender's Pride Fashion Tour
Blender's Pride Fashion Tour 2012 ended with a bang in Mumbai day before yesterday. Some of the best fashion designers of the country presented their work in this fashion event. Needless to say that Blender's Pride Fashion Tour was grand. In retrospect, lets take a look at the best and worst designs presented in this event.
When you have the top fashion designers displaying their work, we do not really expect goof ups. But there were a few of course. But on the brighter side, most of the collections had a fresh perspective to offer. Veteran designer Neeta Lulla for example turned some of her models into Batwomen. We give her full marks for creating a visual impact. But she also managed to charm us with the elegant Anarkali dress that her showstopper Celina Jaitley wore.
Another designer who really impressed us in the Blender's Pride Fashion tour 2012 is Mandira Virk. Her models were dressed as the brides of darkness too. She used lace and net extensively in her collection. Many of the outfits were interesting but the showstopper Esha Gupta's gown just takes the cake. It was an exquisite piece of work endowed in black lace and net. The thigh high slit gown made us rewind to Angelina Jolie's right leg stunt at Grammy's this year.
Nandita Mehtani's designs were brightening up the mood with florescent colours. Her collection at the Blender's Pride Fashion Tour 2012 was vivid ensemble of bright colours. Orange, yellow, pink and bright blue ruled the roost on the ramp. She captured the essence of feminity in flowing gowns.
Here is Boldsky's pick of the best and worst designs that were seen in the Blender's Pride Fashion Tour 2012.

Neeta Lulla: Batwoman
Check out the bat-woman look presented by models in this collection. The combination of black and brown is interesting.

Neeta Lulla: Black Elegance
Traditional clothes look really elegant in black. And Celina Jaitley's Anarkali suit in particular is breathtaking.

Nandita Mehtani: Florescent Foes
Orange, yellow and pink, all the colours of the rainbow rain down on this collection.

Nandita Mehtani: The Female Within
Fluttering gowns and flowing trains gives wings to the 'woman' inside you.

Ashish Soni: Wear It To Work
Semi-formal or casual designs that you can wear to work. The clothes were basically daily wear.

Ashish Soni: Apliques That Don't Work
These are appliques that have been out of fashion for a decade now. They simply don't work for us.

Mandira Virk: Wings Of Darkness
You look at Esha Gupta in that totally asymmetrical gown, and you simply keep looking at the beauty of the design.

Mandira Virk: Lace & Net
Lace and net are the two materials that have dominated her creations in this collection
