Cannes Film Festival Day 1 commenced yesterday and as the tinsle town set off on the red carpet, the event came alive with fashion at it's best. Cannes Film Festival fashion styles in Day 1 witnessed some amazing styles, trends and camaradie of stylish wears.

Cannes Film Festival Day 1 fashion on the red carpet starts with the a decade old in Cannes – Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

1. Aishwariya Rai Bachchan - Unlike several other times, Ashwariya Rai Bachchan impressed the critic with her perfect dressing sense for the Cannes red carpet. As always Ashwariya Rai Bachcan won over the hearts as she glided across the red carpet wearing an Elie Saab Spring 2011 Couture gown. The lace Elie Saab one shoulder gown worn by Ashwariya Rai Bachchan, is an epitom of perfection with the pastle colour and intricate embroidary which runs all throughout the gown makes it a classic wear. The lace detailed around the waist, provides a slimming effect and the fish cut defines her amazing figure.
