3 Ubtans That You Must Try If You're Getting Married
We are all aware that our grandmothers used ubtans to take care of their skin. When ready-made skin care masks and packs were not available, people relied on such home-made ubtans to enhance the glow of their skin. Basically, ubtan is nothing but a mask made with natural ingredients especially with gram flour (besan) as its core ingredient.
The brides-to-be can start including these masks in their beauty regime so that their skin looks bright and glowing on the wedding day. As these masks contain only natural ingredients, one can also use them regularly to ensure that their skin stays healthy, bright and flawless.

In this article, we'll be discussing on the three best ubtans that a bride-to-be must try for that flawless and glowing skin.
Gram Flour And Raw Milk
Gram flour helps in exfoliating the skin and removes the dead skin cells whereas milk helps in soothing and moisturising the skin.
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp gram flour
- 1 tbsp sandalwood powder
- 2-3 tbsp raw milk
How to do
In a bowl add gram flour, sandalwood powder and raw milk. Mix all the ingredients well to make a smooth paste. Apply this on cleansed face evenly. Leave the mixture on for about 15-30 minutes. After 30 minutes rinse it well with cold water and pat dry.
Gram Flour And Lemon
This pack is the best if you have sun tan and dead skin cells. Lemon is a natural bleach that will help in brightening the skin.
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp gram flour
- 1 tbsp sandalwood powder
- ½ tbsp red lentil powder
- A pinch of turmeric
- 2-3 drops of rose water
How to do
Make a pack by mixing gram flour, sandalwood powder, red lentil powder, turmeric, rose water and fresh lemon juice in a bowl. Make sure that the paste is not too thick or too watery to use. Apply this on your face and neck. Leave the mixture for few minutes until it dries. Later you can wash it off with lukewarm water.
Gram Flour, Yogurt And Wheat Bran
Gram flour and wheat bran help in exfoliating the skin whereas yogurt contains lactic acid that aids in brightening the skin. In addition, turmeric in this pack helps in getting rid of any pimples or breakouts due to its antiseptic properties. If you want a soft and glowing skin then this ubtan is the best one for you.
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp gram flour
- 1 tbsp wheat bran
- 1-2 tbsp yogurt
- A pinch of turmeric
How to do
The first step is applying oil. Warm some sesame oil and apply it all over your face. Gently massage and leave it for 15 minutes. In a bowl add gram flour, wheat bran, yogurt and a pinch of turmeric. Make a smooth paste by combining all the ingredients. Apply this on your oiled face. Make sure that you massage in a circular motion. Leave the pack on for 30 minutes and then you can wash it off with lukewarm water.
