Common Period Skin Problems & How To Fix Them
We ladies just can't get a break, can we? Not to mention the skin issues we face during periods. Here's how you can deal with the common skin problems faced during periods.
Along with being a general pain to deal with, periods bring with them a host of skin problems that make you feel even worse and more irritated than how the periods make you feel otherwise.
No matter what you do, these problems seem to stick on and never go away and you're stuck looking as bad as you feel. We would all like to look a little better those days of the month, as looking like a diva can actually make you feel a whole lot better.
So, we've listed down some of the common skin problems that can happen when you are on your periods and how to deal with them. Take a look.

1. Acne:
Acne, pimples and other sorts of skin eruptions are very common during periods, as there is an increase in the production of sebum due to hormonal changes in the body. These can hurt and feel inflamed due to increased sensitivity to pain during this time. Use aloe vera gel to calm your skin down and reduce the inflammation.

2. Dullness:
Dull skin starts around the time of PMS, and keeps going till your period is not over. Even though you know that your skin will be back to its glowing self after your period, this dullness is a pain to deal with. Use a scrub to get rid of the dead skin cells and then moisturise well.

3. Dry Flakes:
Your skin can act up in all sorts of weird ways at this time. While in some areas your skin can turn too oily, in some areas it can remain too dry. These areas would need a little more hydration, so use either a lip balm on them or some petroleum jelly.

4. Rashes:
Sometimes, the skin can even erupt into rashes. To avoid this from happening, use a hydrating moisturiser regularly. Try to stick to using the one with hyaluronic acid as an ingredient. This plumps up your skin.

5. Dark Circles:
It is very usual to suffer from sleepless nights during periods. This can lead to dark circles. Use a vitamin E-based cream on your under-eye area every night before you go to sleep to avoid dark circles.

6. Puffy Eyes:
And of course, no matter how much rest you do end up getting during this time, it would never seem like enough. So, you would wake up with puffy eyes naturally. This is completely normal. When you wake up, just place a cold spoon on your eye, and your eyes would feel a lot more comfortable.
