1. Haldi (Turmeric):
Mix haldi with raw (unboiled) milk and make a thick paste. Apply this paste on your face and neck and leave it on till it dries. Remove it by rubbing it off gently, wash with lukewarm water. Haldi has been used for generations to get radiant skin. This happens because it has antibacterial properties that remove impurities from the skin.

2. Gram Flour:
Mix gram flour or besan with a few drops of rose water and make a thick paste. Apply this on your skin and gently rub it on. The rubbing motion and texture of besan helps to remove the dead skin cells to give way to fairer skin.

3. Honey:
Honey is a natural humectant and an exfoliant. It helps get rid of dead skin cells very gently, while keeping the skin well moisturised.

4. Eggs:
Eggs work as a peel off mask. Take some egg white and apply it on your face. Peel it off once it dries. This helps get rid of all dead skin cells and impurities, making your skin look bright and radiant.

5. Milk:
The lactic acid in milk has a way to make skin lighter, and that too really gently. This is best for people with normal skin. So, do try this kitchen ingredient for fair skin in winter.

6. Milk Cream:
If you have dry skin, go for milk cream, as opposed to milk. This will have the same effects as milk but with more moisture.

7. Coffee:
Make a scrub out of coffee powder and olive oil. Apply this on your skin and rub it, so that it increases blood circulation and helps remove dead skin cells. This helps with ageing skin as well, making it firmer.

8. Salt:
Salt has an abrasive texture that helps get rid of impurities from the skin. Be sure to be gentle while using salt on the skin. It is best to mix it with your body wash or with an oil.

9. Curd:
The lactic acid in curd makes it a great choice for getting fairer skin at home. The cooling effect of curd even helps soothe sunburns.

Apple Cider Vinegar:
Dilute some apple cider vinegar in water and apply this to your skin. This is really good for tanned skin. You'd need to do this every day to see the results. It acts as a bleach.

11. Lemon Juice:
This is the strongest natural bleaching agent. The citric acid in lemon helps lighten the skin tone. Apply lemon juice to your skin and leave it on for at least 10 minutes. It may feel a little tingly. This only means that it is working.

Oats:
This home remedy for fairness is really good for sensitive skin. Mix powdered oats in water and rub it on your face. If you have dry skin, you may use milk instead of water.

13. Fenugreek (Methi) Seeds:
Crushed methi seeds can make a really nice scrub to be used for face. Soak the seeds in water overnight before you use it, so that the seeds get softened and thereby help you attain a fairer skin tone on use.

Sugar:
Mix powdered sugar with an oil like sweet almond oil or olive oil to make a dual-action scrub for lightening both the skin and lips. This is one of the best home remedies for fairness.

Potatoes:
Potatoes have nutrients in them that help bleach the skin very gently. It's mild bleaching action makes it perfect to be used on the sensitive under-eye area and it can be used extensively to remove under-eye dark circles. For this you could peel a potato and cut it in slices and place them on and leave them on for 15-20 minutes.
