Haldi & Chandan Face Packs For Brides
Over the years, Indian wedding traditions and rituals have undergone a lot of changes. A few were let go as they no longer suited our changing sensibilities, and a lot others were altered to make them more feasible to our current scenario.
One ritual that stayed intact in all its glorious beauty is the beautification of the bride and the groom with a turmeric and sandalwood pack also known as haldi chandan ubtan. And there is a good reason why.
Sandalwood has strong anti-septic, anti-inflammatory, astringent and anti-bacterial properties. It removes excess oil, cleanses pores, kills infection-causing bacteria and restores the skin's natural oil balance. Sandalwood is a coolant. It not just soothes your skin, but its aromatic smell is known to reduce depression and alleviate your mood.
The deep yellow powder we call turmeric, does more than add a tinge of flavour to your food. Being anti-bacterial in nature, turmeric is known to lighten stretch marks, reduce pimples, erase pigmentation and control dandruff.
Combining these two potent ingredients can give the bride a perfect radiance. Here are a few ayurveda recommended haldi chandan ubtans for gorgeous brides-to-be.
