Ayurvedic Tips For Looking Young Post 35
Who doesn’t like looking young? We try products that promise to remove fine lines, hide our grey hair and promise to give us a youthful skin. We all try our best to keep our ageing signs at bay.

Growing old is an inevitable thing, but slowing down the physical effects of ageing and looking youthful is definitely in our hands. We can delay the onset of age-related effects by making some changes in our lifestyles.
According to Ayurveda, dull and lifeless skin, with age, is due to an imbalance of Vata in our body. It governs all the bodily movements and is considered as the leader among the 3 doshas in Ayurveda.

There are many remedies in Ayurveda that can keep the problems such as cracking joints, lifeless skin and dry hair at bay.
Let us look at some of the tips from our ancient scripture Ayurveda, which will help us in attaining a youthful appearance, even after the age of 35.

1. Eat Healthy
The saying, "you are what you eat" can't be truer. Eating healthy food has a lot of impact on our skin. Consider including vegetables like capsicum, carrots, spinach and radish in your diet often. These vegetables are good for all the types of doshas.

2. Early To Bed And Early To Rise
There is a saying that states, "early to bed and early to rise makes a person healthy, wealthy and wise". According to principles of Ayurveda, getting up 45 minutes prior to sunrise in Brahma Muhurta is the secret behind looking young even in old age. Waking up in Brahma Muhurta fills you with positive energy and helps in the proper functioning of the body.

3. Perform Exercises Or Yoga
Including exercises, such as yoga in your daily routine, helps in maintaining a youthful demeanour. Yoga helps to activate the chakras in the body, which help in the proper functioning of our hormones. These hormones are responsible for ageing. With daily practice of Yoga, you can feel the surge of youthful energy and glow the right away.

4. Practice Rasayana Therapy/Anti-ageing Therapy
Practising ‘Rasayana therapy' or anti-ageing therapy, according to the principles of Ayurveda, is the reason behind a long life, memory, youth and potency of the body. These ancient Ayurvedic herbs such as Amalaki, Haritaki, Triphala, etc, are ideal for maintainng a good health.

5. Practice Water Therapy
Consumption of rainwater accumulated in a clean vessel is good for rejuvenating yourself. As per Ayurveda, it is best to consume hot water, as it helps in regulating the functionalities of the body. Also, water contained in a copper vessel is good to be consumed as well, as it is replete with the copper molecules that help in the proper functioning of the body, removing away the toxins.

6. Ayurvedic Nasya Therapy
The secret to a youthful and wrinkle-free skin lies in the Nasya treatment. This Ayurvedic treatment involves pouring of 2 drops of Ayurvedic oil in each nostril. You can repeat this treatment 2-3 times in a day. According to Ayurveda, with regular Nasya therapy, effects of old age such as grey hair, dull skin, weakening of memory, etc, will never affect a person.

7. Practice Meditation
Who doesn't like a glowing, youthful skin? According to Ayurveda, those who regularly meditate defeat effects of ageing. Meditation is the best way to fight effects of old age, such as ailments and dull and lifeless skin. Meditation helps in calming your mind and gives you vitality. You too can help remove tension and stress from your mind by just meditating for 15-20 minutes in a day.

8. Drink Plenty Of Water
It's an open secret that drinking water has numerous health benefits. Ayurveda too lays importance on drinking an adequate amount of water for a youthful appearance. According to Ayurveda, drinking water, right before the meal, causes weakness and right after causes obesity. Also, you should drinking water an hour before or after the meal.
