How To Use Tamarind For Skin Care
Tamarind is good for health and is used in many Indian dishes. But have you heard of the benefits of tamarind for skin?
Tamarind is good to nourish and cleanse both your skin and hair. It contains vitamins, antioxidants and minerals too. In fact, the use of tamarind for skin has been going on since decades. As it is a kitchen ingredient, it has been the part of beauty routines in many parts of the world.
How To Use Banana For Skin Care
Tamarind can exfoliate your skin, bleach and brighten your skin, prevent wrinkles, minimise hair loss and do a lot more. If your skin is sensitive, consult a dermatologist to know if tamarind suits your skin. If you wish to use tamarind for skin, here are some ideas.

To Brighten Your Skin
Tamarind pulp can also brighten your skin. If you wish to try this remedy, soak some tamarind in hot water to extract its pulp. Add a small amount of turmeric powder and apply it to your face. After 10 minutes, you can wash your face. Repeat this at least twice a week to make your skin look glow.

For Cellulite
If you have tried everything to get rid of cellulite with no avail, try this remedy now. Take some tamarind pulp add a spoon of lemon juice and sugar to it. Sprinkle some baking soda in the mixture and scrub your skin using a brush which is dipped in this mixture.

To Exfoliate Your Skin
Tamarind contains alpha-hydroxyl-acids which is a great ingredient to exfoliate your skin. This is why tamarind has the capacity to remove dirt stuck in the pores of your skin. Take some tamarind pulp, a spoon of curd and a spoon of rocksalt; mix them well. Smear it on your face and carefully massage using fingers. After a few minutes, all the dead skin cells will be removed and your face will look clean.

Bleach
Mix small amounts of honey and lemon and add some tamarind pulp to it. Smear it evenly on your facial skin and wash after 12 minutes. Your skin will look fair.

For Hair Loss
To miminise your chances of losing hair, you need to strengthen it. Tamarind does exactly that. Massage your scalp with tamarind pulp and place a cloth that is dipped in hot water. After 15 minutes, you can wash your hair with shampoo.

For Dark Skin Patches
If you have dark skin around your neck, try this remedy. Mix some rosewater and honey in tamarind pulp. Use this on the dark areas of your skin and wash after 15 minutes.

For Wrinkles
As tamarind contains vitamins, fibre, acids and anti-oxidants, it can nourish your skin and prevent ageing. If you use it along with honey and gramflour regularly, you can slow down ageing.
