1. Choose The Colour
This is the first of all steps to colour your eyelashes. Don't fall for the dyes you use for hair. Buy dyes which are specifically made for brows and lashes. You can use black or brown. But if you want to be adventurous, why not use other hues?

2. Mixing Part
You can find the colour, an activator, a mixture wand and a pallet in a dye kit. Take the colour on the pallet and add activator to it. Mix well to make the mixture thicker. Don't add much activator as it can make the mixture runny.

3. Take A Sensitivity Test
Consider this as one of the most important steps to colour your eye lashes. First, apply the mixture behind your ears or under your elbow. Wait for 30 minutes and wash. Then wait another 8-24 hours. If any infection causes, don't use the dye on eyelashes.

4. Apply Barrier
Your skin must not be stained with the dye. So, apply petroleum jelly on the upper and lower portion of your eyes. Don't ignore the corners. This jelly will help to remove the stains easily.

5. Dip The Wand
Your preparation is complete. Now start the application steps to colour your eyelashes. Applying dye on eyelashes is very simple. You know how to apply mascara on lashes. Just repeat the same process here.

6. Brushing Time
Now, hold your hand still. If it trembles, dye may enter your eyes and cause irritation. Start from your upper lashes. Every stroke should be from upwards to downwards. Check out for corners. Be careful while applying the lower lashes. You can get little messy as lashes are smaller here.

7. Wipe Stains
Now, you'll know why barrier was needed. Take cotton balls and gently wipe away the stains from your cheeks and eyelids. Due to petroleum jelly, stains will be easily removed without smudging it on skin.

8. Wash Excess Dye
Let the dye sits well on your lashes. Wait for 15-20 minutes. Now, take cotton ball, dip into warm water and gently remove the excess dye from lashes. Repeat the process for 3 to four times. Use new cotton balls each time.
All steps to colour your eyelashes are completed. Generally, this dye lasts for a month or 45 days. You need to repeat the steps after that. If you don't want to do it at home, go to a parlour and consult your beautician. She will take care of everything. You can just relax.
