One thing that women find irritating every month, are their periods. What happens to the skin during this time is even worse. Skin during periods becomes very sensitive. Before your period, the hormone levels become very high which stimulate the oil glands. The excessive oil clog the pores. This is one big reason behind acne-causing bacteria. It is thereby very essential to follow beautiful skin tips, especially before and during periods.
For a woman, during the last 14 days of the cycle, the estrogen levels become very low and the androgen levels are very high. This is when the oil glands are very active and the oil production is at its highest. One reason for pimple formation on the skin during periods is this bacterial infection. Some women in fact consider these pimples as an indication of their periods. To get rid of these, we often tend to squeeze them out. This is not a beautiful skin tip, the reason being that, by doing so, we are attempting to leave permanent marks on the skin. Squeezing pimples can also aggravate the pimple formation by promoting the bacterial infection.

Wash Your Face Regularly:
The most simple beautiful skin tip is to wash your face regularly with cold water. This can help remove dirt and excess oil from the skin.

Use A Cleanser:
During the post ovulation period, the skin produces excessive oil, thereby to avoid infection and inflammation of the skin, use a cleanser to wash your face at-least 2-3 times a day.

Cut-down On Sweets:
To prevent excessive oil on the skin during periods, you can cut down on sweets and other food that induce oil production. This is another beautiful skin tip that can be easily followed.

Follow A Healthy Diet:
Eating protein rich foods such as fish, fresh fruits and vegetables in plenty can help cleanse your entire system and keep the skin clean and glowing.

Moisturise Your Skin:
During periods, women tend to lose lot of water content from their body. This dehydrates the skin and makes it feel irritating and rough. So keep applying a deep moisturiser at regular intervals.

Use Sun-screen Lotions:
Skin during periods becomes more sensitive to sun, causing redness of the skin. Do not skip your sun-screen lotion when you get exposed to the sun, both before and during your periods.

Avoid Harsh Products On The Skin:
Both before and during your periods, the skin becomes so sensitive, that if try using harsh products like anti-acne, it will only worsen the situation. Avoiding such products is advisable.

Skin Massage:
During your pre-menstrual cycle, you tend to get mood swings and feel stressed out. This reflects on your skin making it look dull. Skin massages can help overcome the stress during this time.

Fruit Facial Masks:
To avoid dull skin due to stress during periods, you can apply natural homemade fruit masks on your skin. This will give an immediate glow to the skin and also make it look healthy.

Avoid Saunas:
Avoid saunas during periods because it can cause skin inflammation.

Avoid Skin Cleansing Procedures:
Skin cleansing procedures involving deep skin peeling, needs to be avoided during periods.

Avoid Carbohydrates:
Western diets, rich in carbohydrates, cause excessive insulin production during periods, resulting in too much of hair growth on the face and neck. You must consume lot of whole wheat to avoid this condition.
