So, if you are up for the challenge, why not do your own wedding makeup?
Yes, you read that right. Of course, being a bride means you gotta manage a lot of things - so doing your own makeup may not be up your alley, but if you are, we've got you.

You know how you want to look, so there is no chance of miscommunication with your makeup artist. Doing your wedding makeup is not necessarily right or wrong; it's just a matter of personal preference. There are advantages and disadvantages to both options.
According to Vogue, celebrity makeup artists claim you will look and feel like yourself if you already own the products you need.

To complete your makeup, you will need primer, foundation, concealer for any discolouration, setting powder to control excess oil, highlighter, blush, a lipstick that matches your wedding outfit, kohl, an eyeshadow palette, and basic makeup brushes.
Also, keep in mind that it may not last as long depending on the makeup you use and the technical skills you possess.

If you are wearing a pastel-coloured outfit, it is advisable to use soft colours on the eyes, gold eyeshadow, soft blush, nude lipstick, and defined eyeliner and kajal.
If you wear darker-coloured clothing, such as dark pinks, reds, or multi-coloured outfits, complement them with light makeup, such as smudged kohl or brown smoky eyes.
The process of applying foundation will probably be the most challenging since you will need to consider the type of skin you have, the undertones of your skin, as well as the amount of coverage that you need. It is recommended that you practice this step before the session, according to experts.

- No matter what your bridal look is, never apply makeup to dry skin.
- The key to flawless, long-lasting makeup is to prepare the skin; excess oils and dry skin must be removed, the skin needs to be hydrated, and a dewy base will enhance your appearance.
- Concealer should be applied before foundation.
- Don't apply too much blush, you don't want clown cheeks.
- With a spoolie brush, brush, set and maintain your eyebrows, and fill in only where necessary. Do not fill in the area where your eyebrows begin.
- Drink a lot of water, exfoliate your lips before applying lipstick, and keep your skin hydrated.
- To achieve a radiant complexion, use a liquid, cream, or powder highlighter.
- If you have droopy or saggy skin, false eyelashes will draw attention away from it. This will be due to the curl, which lifts the eyes. Curl and merge the two lashes with mascara.
- Set your makeup with a setting spray for a dewy finish, and to ensure that it can withstand high temperatures and of course - the tears!
