Get Smokey Eyes: Makeup Tips
If you are up for a fancy event or concert then it would be ideal to create a nice dramatic smokey eye look. When it comes to eye makeup there is nothing sexier than the classic smokey eye look. This stunning look will never go out of style. A bevy of celebs in Bollywood and Hollywood are always seen sporting the smouldering smokey-eyed look on the red carpet. This is now referred to as a the “classic celeb approved look”. Nowadays, even when you flip through any of the pages of a fashion magazine, all you get to see are pictures of models or celebs donning the dramatic smokey eye look. So how can one with very little know-how do a sophisticated smokey eye? It may look complicated but creating the smokey-eye look is all about proper blending.
If you want to master a classic smokey eye makeup technique, all you need to do is to make sure that all the colours are flawlessly and evenly blended so that it gets the nice shadowing effect. Here are some smokey eye makeup tips if you want to go all smokey.
5 MINUTE MAKEUP FOR OFFICE LOOK
Choose colours

The most important smokey eye makeup tip that one needs to follow is to choose the right colours. Any colour can be used to create a dramatic smokey eye. However, you will need to choose at least three shades of one colour. If you want to know how to do a classic smokey eye makeup look, you need to opt for black or grey. Yet the other options you can go for are bronze and brown.
Apply a concealer
Before you begin your smokey eye makeup look, you need to apply a light shade of creamy concealer under the eye and also on the eyelid. Mineral make-up foundation is the best if you want to cover the dark or red spots. Moreover, it also gives a nice smooth canvas when you are going to apply the eye shadow.
Choose powder
If you have decided to go for smoky eye makeup opt for colours like black, brown or gray. Make sure to apply one of these colours on the top of the upper lash line and then trace the line a little thicker in the middle of the eye. If you have very small eyes, then apply eyeliner pencil starting from the middle of the under eye to the outer corner of the eye.
Create an undone look
Pick an eye shadow brush to soften the edges of the eye pencil line The interesting smokey eye tip to create that undone look is to try smudging the eye liner pencil using a brush, cotton tip or even by using your own finger.
Select the lighter shade
To create a nice classic look, start off by brushing away the lighter, shimmery shadow in neutral tone across the entire eyelid.
Medium tone
Now it is time to sweep medium shade eye shadow using the brush and blend it flawlessly from halfway to all the way across your eyelid.
Fluffy blending brush
Use a fluffy blending brush and make sure to sweep up the darker eye shadow. Try to use the dark shade at the lash line. And for the crease of your eyelid, use dark intense shadow for the sophisticated dramatic smokey eye look.
Highlight your brow
Now make sure to highlight the brow bone using small amounts of the lighter eye shade.
