Summer Haircare Made Easy: Bollywood's Coolest Rituals For Gorgeous Locks
Humidity, UV exposure, and sweat-drenched scalp; your mane experiences all of it during summertime. But B-Town beauties' including Sonam Kapoor, Sobhita Dhulipala, and others have cracked the code of keeping their locks season-proof with their unique haircare rituals. Simply put, achieving 'mane goals' during sunny days is possible!
Follow this celebrity haircare guide to sport the heatproof glam!
Sonam Kapoor's Cold Green Hair Mask
Sonam Kapoor's summer hair care includes something easily found in your pantry. A nice blend of cucumber, spinach, mint, and yoghurt makes a heat-fighting hair mask.
This hair-protecting solution is rich in vitamin K and chlorophyll which makes her long locks strong and reduces the brittleness caused by UV damage. Yoghurt keeps the scalp hydrated and keeps the locks moisturized and shiny!
Tamannaah Bhatia's Coconut-Mint Scalp Cooler
The gorgeous Tamannaah Bhatia tames the heat with a homemade coconut-mint scalp mix! She crushes mint leaves into organic coconut oil, stores it overnight, and applies it to her scalp.
The mint reduces itchiness and inflammation and offers a soothing effect. While coconut oil is effective in nourishing roots affected by the sun. To reflect that spa vibe, she wraps her locks in a damp towel for at least 15 minutes. This step guarantees hydration and adds a weighted bounce to her strands!
Shanaya Kapoor's Ice Aloe Massage
Shanaya Kapoor's must-do summer ritual is using aloe vera ice cubes. She blends rose water with aloe gel and pours the mix into an ice tray. Every morning, she applies the cube on her scalp to keep it soothing, reducing heat rashes and refreshing the roots.
The icy massage activates the hair follicles and controls sebum, ideal for sun exposure or styling. This dry shampoo is especially useful for taming heat-affected issues!
Sobhita Dhulipala's Tea Rinse Renewal
For haircare, Sobhita showcases her preference for herbal teas. One or two times a week, she makes a pot of potent hibiscus or chamomile or hibiscus tea, lets it cool, and then rinses it off after shampooing. While chamomile relieves heat-irritated scalps, hibiscus enhances lustre and keeps them from becoming dry.
As the tea rinse soaks into her hair, 'Made In Heaven' star lets it air dry naturally, allowing the subtle floral scent to linger throughout the day. To boost the ante on the aromatherapy, she sometimes adds some drops of lavender oil.
Shraddha Kapoor's Fermented Rice Water Wash
Shraddha Kapoor's gorgeous tresses' secret is rooted in ancient beauty practices. She uses the starch water from the cooked rice, allows it to ferment in a jar for one day, and spritzes it onto the washed hair.
This homemade hair beautifying hack adds elasticity, tames frizz, and straightens locks, especially affected by dry summer air. Ms Kapoor adds some rosemary into the mix to the rice water for a fragrance and fresh feel!
Janhvi Kapoor's Rose Milk Mist
Janhvi Kapoor's post-hair wash routine includes adding a lovely smell to just-washed tresses! She blends rose water with some cold milk and around 2 drops of glycerine and stores it in a hair spray bottle.
The 'Devara' movie star sprays the hair concoction to add moisture and sheen to the just-washed hair. The protein in milk gives smoothness to the locks while rose petals soothe the scalp. Janhvi advises using this hair mist during mid-day to give life to the dull waves!
