7 Natural Ways To Stop Your Hair From Getting Oily
Hair that is limp, flat and oily, well, not exactly our idea of a perfect hair, is it? What if we say, there are natural remedies for oily hair that will keep your mane fluffy like cotton candy, not one but even after five days of shampooing?
Sounds too good to be true, right? The homemade masks for oily hair that we are about to explore in this article will do exactly that!

We all know the greasy hair struggle, all too well. And as much as we'd want to keep trying, there is no escaping it!
Now, we know hair becomes greasy due to excess sebum production in the scalp, but the real question is, what triggers this sweat gland to go on an overdrive?
Genetics, environmental factors, hormonal disorder, using chemically chocked hair care products, etc., are a few reasons why your hair gets caked with oil, all too soon.
It is important to understand the reasons why your locks are overly oily, so you can evaluate your current habits that contribute to aggravate the condition, so you can fix it better.
To help you along, here are 7 handy tricks on how to prevent hair from getting oily naturally.

Time Your Wash
You will itch to wash your hair to get that excess oil out, but that would be a mistake. Here is why. Washing hair strips the scalp of its natural oils, and pushes sweat glands to work harder to compensate for the lost oils, leading to excess grease. Give your tresses three to four days before going in for the next wash.

Go Lukewarm
Hot water is a big no-no for your hair, as it can scald your scalp, break hair and lead to dullness. Cold water, on the other hand, can further send your body temperature tumulting down. The ideal balance is lukewarm, which is comfortable for your body and best-suited for your hair. This is by far the most easiest natural way to stop hair from getting oily.

Ditch The Conditioner
Conditioner will only further weigh down your already limp hair. Ditch conditioner if you can. If not, apply it sparingly through your hair ends. And whatever you do, avoid conditioner on your scalp.
