7 Common Hair Mistakes To Avoid If You Have Dry Hair
Are you tired of dealing with your dry, rough tresses on a daily basis?
Do you feel that your dry, lifeless mane is coming in the way of your appearance?
Well, it can be quite frustrating to have a "bad hair day" each day, which can happen when you have dry, damaged tresses.
There is no one specific cause for the development of dry hair.
It can either be due to lack of enough nutrients in your diet, lack of enough water and fluids to keep your mane hydrated, heredity, the ill-effects of dust and pollution, etc.
Dry hair can lead to your tresses being damaged, causing split ends, hair fall, baldness, dandruff and other such undesirable hair issues.
Even if you apply leave-in hair serums, sometimes, if you have extremely dry hair, these products may not work.
If you feel that you have tried just about everything to get rid of your hair dryness, such as using expensive shampoos and conditioners, going in for hair spas, etc, then may be you are following a few daily habits that could be worsening your problem.
Have a look at some of the common mistakes that you'll need to avoid in order to reduce hair dryness.

1. Blow-Drying
Blow-drying after a wash can dry out your already dry tresses, making them frizzy and unmanageable. Letting your hair dry naturally is advisable.

2. Hot Showers
Using hot water to wash your hair can make it turn dry and damage the hair cells, further causing split ends. Therefore, use lukewarm water instead to wash your hair.

3. Using Excessive Hair Products
Using shampoos, conditions, hair serums, etc, way too often, can dry out your hair, as they contain strong chemicals that are harsh on your hair.

4. Using Cotton Pillow Covers
Cotton pillow covers can cause your hair to become more frizzy and dry than it already is, as these kind of covers absorb the oil and moisture quickly.

5. Not Hydrating Yourself Enough
If you do not consume at least 2 litres of water per day, your hair and skin tend to become more dry, along with developing other health complications.

6. Not Covering Your Hair While Commuting
If you do not cover your hair with a scarf or a hoodie while commuting, especially on bikes or rickshaws, the pollutants, dirt, etc, can get into your hair and dry it out.

7. Using Heat-Styling Devices
Regularly using hair-straightening irons, heat curlers, etc, to style your hair can make your hair turn extremely dry and damaged.
