There are many causes of tangled hair like lack of combing. However, detangling your hair becomes a tricky job. You spend hours to get back the soft and silky hair. If you think that washing the hair will help, then you are right. It becomes a little easier to detangle your hair after hair wash. So, here are few simple steps to help you detangle your hair without breaking them. Just make sure you have patience.
Steps to detangle your dry and damaged hair:

Wash your hair: This is the first step you should follow to detangle your hair. After shampooing, apply little more conditioner on your hair to make the task easier. Conditioner softens the hair, makes it manageable and treats the dryness.
Use your hands: Before starting with the brush, you must try to detangle your dry and damaged hair with your hands. Be gentle to avoid hair loss.
Use a wide tooth comb: This is the third step to detangle your dry and damaged hair. Comb with spikes can also be used to detangle the hair easily. This might take some time, so be patient.
Use a serum: If you are finding it difficult to detangle your hair, apply serum or hair conditioner on the hair and then softly brush. Note, if you are using a hair conditioner, wash those hair strands with water to avoid making it sticky and oily.
Now use a thin brush: Once you have detangled your hair, use a thin brush. Be gentle and softly comb your hair. Tangled hair is more prone to damage and can come out with the comb. So, don't be harsh.
Apply aloe vera oil: If these steps are not working for you, apply aloe vera oil on your hair and leave for 30 minutes. Wash your hair and use a conditioner. Then brush with a wide tooth comb to detangle your dry and damaged hair. Aloe vera oil will not only help detangle the hair but, it will also soften it and keep it manageable.
