Hair straighteners may soon be history, claim scientists who have discovered a 'curly hair gene'. The new discovery could lead to making of a pill that can make hair straight or curly.

Researchers also believe that the discovery could make it possible to predict whether a baby will have straight hair or curly hair.

Pictures of DNA samples from a crime site can also reveal the hair type of the suspected.

Trichohyalin gene that is mainly responsible for curly hair was discovered at a Medical Research, Australia.
