Banish Flaky Skin From Your Lips In No Time With These Natural Tips
The cold monsoon season is here, and along with it comes the dreadful dry lips! Flaky skin on the lips can be uncomfortable - no doubt about it. Thankfully, there are several natural remedies that can help you achieve smooth and soft lips.
Read on to find out the best remedies for getting rid of flaky lips.

1. Exfoliate with a homemade lip scrub
Creating your own lip scrub is a simple and cost-effective way to get rid of flaky skin. Mix equal parts of honey and brown sugar in a small bowl. Gently massage the mixture onto your lips in circular motions for about a minute. Rinse with warm water and pat dry. This natural exfoliant will remove dead skin cells, leaving your lips smooth and refreshed.
2. Hydrate with coconut oil
Coconut oil is a fantastic natural moisturiser that can work wonders on flaky lips. Apply a small amount of coconut oil to your lips and let it absorb for a few minutes. The oil will deeply hydrate your lips, preventing dryness and flakiness. Plus, it has a pleasant tropical scent!
3. Nourish with aloe vera gel
Aloe vera gel is renowned for its soothing and healing properties. Simply apply a thin layer of aloe vera gel to your lips and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Rinse off with cool water and pat dry. The gel will provide essential nutrients and lock in moisture, keeping your lips supple and flake-free.
4. Protect with a beeswax lip balm
Using a beeswax lip balm can create a protective barrier on your lips, shielding them from harsh environmental factors. Look for a lip balm with natural ingredients and apply it throughout the day to maintain moisture and prevent flakiness.

5. Stay hydrated
One of the simplest yet most effective tips to prevent flaky lips is to stay hydrated. Drinking an adequate amount of water throughout the day helps keep your entire body, including your lips, hydrated. Aim for at least eight glasses of water daily to maintain your lip health.
